ResearchandeducationoftheatmosphericscienceshavealonghistoryattheNationalCentralUniversity.OriginallytheatmosphericsciencewasjustoneoftheresearchbranchesintheInstituteofGeophysics,whichwasthefirstfoundedInstitutewhentheUniversitywasreestablishedinTaiwanin1962.Therapidadvancesoftheatmosphericandspacesciencesinthe60s’calledforestablishinganindependentacademicprogramtoreflectthetrendandtomeetthechallenges.ThustheDepartmentofAtmosphericPhysics,thefirstofitskindinalluniversitiesinTaiwan,wasfoundedin1968.Tenyearslater,thefirstgraduateInstituteofAtmosphericSciencesinTaiwan–“theInstituteofAtmosphericPhysics”,wasestablished.In1990,thenameofthedepartmentwaschangedto“AtmosphericSciences”.Atthesametime,thespacescienceprogramwasspunofffromtheInstituteofAtmosphericPhysicstoformtheInstituteofSpaceScience.Since1998,theDepartmentofAtmosphericSciencesandtheInstituteofAtmosphericPhysicshavebecometwocoremembersoftheCollegeofEarthSciences,whichisalsothefirstofitskindinTaiwan. 系所簡介 簡史History 教育目標Goals 專任教師Faculty 兼任教師AdjunctFaculty 職員/研究人員Staff&Researcher 設備Facilities
