Attainable Anotherofthecommonpitfallsthatcatchmanagerswhensettinggoalsisaimingtoohigh.Forinstance,sayingthatourgoalisto‘increasesales300%overthesamemonthlastyear’isprobablyanunattainablegoal.Ratherthanmotivatingtheteam,agoallikethiswilldiscouragethemrightfromthestart.Themanagerneedstobeabletoassessthecurrentstateofthebusinessenvironmentandsettleonagoalthatstraddlesthelinebetweenoptimisticandimpossible.
